We are pleased to announce that the IRS has granted the American Muslim Institution the Tax Exempt status under the IRC Section 501 (c ) (3).

Washington, D.C., December 2, 2015 -- American Muslim Institution is pleased to announce a new mile-stone as we move forward with achieving our goals.

Today, we have received the notification of tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service in a record time of less than four months.  The letter reads as follows: “We’re pleased to tell you we determined you’re exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c) (3). Donor can deduct contributions they make to your under IRC Section 170.  You’re also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.”

We are committed to work with the policy makers, interfaith community and the media in countering Islamophobia and building a cohesive America for the good of all Americans, stated Ambassador Islam A. Siddiqui, AMI’s President.

In a short span of four months, we have achieved many of our goals, towards the ideal where fellow Americans will see Muslims as their neighbors and fellow citizens, committed to fighting against violent extremism and protecting the homeland.

On November 20, we took the bold step of demonstrating against ISIS and Terrorism on the steps of Lincoln Memorial, a historic place where the civil rights movement achieved its pinnacle, and we hope our effort on the same steps will bring about acceptance of Muslims as fellow Americans towards the fulfillment of our immortal declaration that all men are created equal.

In a short span of time, we have generated nearly 300 news entries through our 10 press releases and 160 direct entries about us since August 1, 2015.

We cannot continue to do this vital work without your financial support. Please donate generously and send your tax deductible donation to:
